HALO TRIBRID
Post-Care Instructions
Normal Reactions
- Redness and swelling are expected for up to 7 days (most intense around day 3).
- Pinpoint bleeding may occur for up to 12 hours.
- Skin may feel very warm for 12–24 hours.
- Swelling peaks the morning after treatment and lasts 2–4 days; sleep elevated and use ice packs.
Healing Process
- Days 2–3: Skin develops tiny dark spots (MENDS) and a bronzed, sandpaper texture—do not scratch or pick.
- Peeling starts within 24 hours and finishes in 5–7 days (face) or up to 2 weeks (neck/chest).
- After peeling, skin may appear pink for several days.
Care Steps
- Cleanse twice daily starting the next morning with lukewarm water + gentle cleanser. Pat dry — don’t rub or exfoliate.
- Moisturize frequently to keep skin hydrated; use a heavier occlusive if needed.
- Avoid picking or forcing off peeling skin—can cause scarring or pigment changes.
- Sun protection: Apply broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily starting day 1; reapply every 2 hours; avoid sun for 2 months.
- Makeup: Okay once peeling ends; tinted moisturizer may be used sooner.
- Medications: Take antivirals or pain relievers as prescribed. Benadryl may ease itching (causes drowsiness).
Please be sure to wash your hands prior to washing your face or applying any topicals.
