Steve Costalas, DO
Medical Director
Steve has been a board certified emergency physician for 18 years. His medical training was at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed in 1993. He was trained as an emergency physician at Christiana Care and graduated in 1997. Steve has been working for the Main Line Healthcare System since 1998 and has spent the majority of his career at The Lankenau Medical Center.
Advances in medicine and cutting edge treatments for patients have always been topics of interest in Steve’s practice. When approached about the technology in CoolSculpting, a transition into the world of Aesthetic Medicine became the next career move for Steve.
As the Medical Director of KP Aesthetics, Steve attended CoolSculpting University in November of 2015 and has since had private training from Zeltiq representatives. Though CoolSculpting is Steve’s main modality, he has trained for Collagen Induction Therapy, Laser Resurfacing, Intense Pulse Light Therapy as well as Tattoo Removal.
Kimberly Costalas, RN
Nurse Injector for Cosmetic Medicine and Certified Coolsculpting Specialist
Kim has over 10 years of patient care experience and has been performing aesthetic services since 2011. She trained with the American Academy of Facial Esthetics and has had many private, one-on-one sessions and instruction from Merz Pharmaceutical. She has had extensive, individual training by Zeltiq (the maker of CoolSculpting) representatives and attended CoolSculpting University for further instruction.
Kim has steadily grown her practice over the last five years by utilizing her skills learned in both the hospital and aesthetic settings. She has extensive knowledge in all services provided and is able to help our clients make informed decisions. With dedication to the aesthetic industry and commitment to patient education and safety, there is no doubt her patients are in the right hands.
Brianna Parnes
Lead Medical Aesthetician and Laser Specialist
Brianna Parnes, a clinical aesthetician has joined the KP Aesthetics team and is now seeing patients at our Newtown Square office. Brianna has years of experience working in skincare and over the years has found lasers to be her specialty. She has worked at a variety of different companies with several types of equipment. With her understanding of the industry and it’s technologies, she can deliver personalized treatments for each client. Combining her skill set as well as her aesthetic knowledge, she has built her following by performing impeccable services. She is currently enrolled in school to get her nursing degree in order to gain even more access to the clinical field. Brianna’s skill set includes office procedures, lasers, and skin care products. You will be in good hands working with her towards your skin care goals.
Jackie Mraz
Jackie Mraz joined KP Aesthetics in February of 2017 and brings 25+ years of experience in the beauty and aesthetics field. She has earned a bachelor’s degree from Widener University in Business and Finance and also attended Harcum Jr. College and where she earned an associates degree in retail and fashion merchandising. While working on her cosmetology license, she worked as a makeup artist and nail specialist.
Jackie owned and managed salons and spas in Bryn Mawr and in Ardmore where she also practiced as a stylist, makeup artist and esthetician. After 15 years she sold the business to raise a family but continued to work part time to stay current in the industry.
Most recently, Jackie attended the International Laser Institute for Laser Medicine where she was taught multiple laser modalities by the field’s leading medical aestheticians. She received certifications in advanced laser treatments such as laser hair removal, fractional laser, IPL and tattoo removal. While she is certified in microblading and permanent makeup, she is planning on expanding her education with more extensive training. Her passion and love for the industry drives her to constantly learn the newest technology and procedures.
In addition to providing laser services at KP Aesthetics, Jackie also performs MicroNeedling with HA or PRP, HydraFacials and facials with our physician dispensed skin care line Neocutis.
